| There are two Airlines that flys into Alice Springs and that is:
Qantas fly from Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Darwin, Perth, Melbourne and Cairns. You book your own flight online www.qantas.com.au using your credit card.
Tiger Airways fly from Melbourne and Adelaide and are generally cheaper than Qantas.
Once you have booked your flight arriving into Alice Springs, Freecall 1800 246345 and book your Rock Tour for the next day departure at 6:00am. |
| We highly recommend spending a minimum of 5 days in the Red Centre.
Day 1 - arrive in Alice Springs.
Day 2,3 and 4 to take The Rock Tour and return to Alice Springs on night 4 at 5:00pm. Go out to dinner with your tour guide and new friends to celebrate a great trip!
5th day to leave Alice Springs to your next destination.

Arrive in Alice Springs on Day 1. Depart the next day from Alice Springs on Day 2 at 6:00am and return to Alice Springs on Day 4 at 5:00pm.
You will need 1 nights accommodation in Alice Springs before (Day 1) and after (Day 4) the Tour!
2/ Alice Springs to Ayers Rock (Rock Drop Off) - FOR THOSE IN A HURRY!
Arrive in Alice Springs on Day 1. Depart the next day from Alice Springs on Day 2 at 6:00am and depart our tour on Day 4 at the Ayers Rock Airport (i.e. fly from Ayers Rock to Sydney) any time after 10:00am.
The only part of the tour you miss is the 6 hour bus trip home from Ayers Rock to Alice Springs. You will need 1 nights accommodation in Alice Springs before the tour (Day 1).
3/ Ayers Rock to Alice Springs. FOR THOSE THAT BOOKED A FLIGHT IN AYERS ROCK!
Arrive at Ayers Rock Airport on Day 1 and our bus will drive directly to Ayers Rock on Day 1. We will arrive at the Ayers Rock Airport and pick you up at 12:15pm. You return to Alice Springs on Day 3 at 5:30pm.

| You will need 2 x large 1.5 Litre bottles to take on the tour.
You will need at least 3 litres of water for the Kings Canyon hike and will more than likely drink 8 to 9 litres of water on this day.
You will need the same amount of water for the Olgas hike on Day 2 and Ayers Rock hike on Day 3.
Our buses carry 60 litres of water on board and your guide will most definitely guarentee you will not dehydrate on the hikes.
There are several points during the tour to fill up your water bottles.

| Summer (Nov-Mar) it is quite warm at night, around 15-25 degrees Celsius and 35 degrees plus during the day.
Winter (May-Sept) it is a lot colder, usually around 1 degree Celsius at night and 15 to 20 degrees during the day. June and July can get very cold at night, often below zero.

| Summer (Nov-Mar) average over 30 degrees Celsius. During the peak of summer temperatures can reach 40 degrees Celsius or more.
Winter daytime temperatures are pleasant, usually around 20-25 degrees Celsius.

| Winter nights are often below zero degrees (May-Sept) so you will need a good sleeping bag.
If you don't have one of your own, you can hire one from us for $10.00. Ours are brand new and are minus 10 degrees rated...nice and warm.

| Bring a small pack and leave your large pack at your Hostel.
Shorts, T-shirts and good shoes during the day & a jumper for night time.
Winter you can still wear shorts and a shirt during the day.
However, you will need to bring warm clothes because it does get cold at night. Long pants, a good jumper, a beanie to keep your head warm and gloves are advisable.
Regardless of the time of year that you are travelling you will need to bring a hat & sunscreen.
Other things to bring include a towell, bathers, sunglasses, torch, toiletries and hat.

| A swag is made out of heavy duty canvas, sewn into a cocoon-like bag providing warmth, comfort and security - the ultimate of all bush beds! They have a 2 inch thick comfy mattress.
You sleep inside your sleeping bag inside your swag so your body heat is trapped inside your sleeping bag and swag. A lot warmer than a tent!

| No we don't have any tents on our tour.
We offer you a real Aussie outback experience sleeping in a swag under the stars. You simply put your sleeping bag inside & get cozy around the camp fire. |
| Keep your larger luggage in your accommodation & just bring a small bag on tour.

| Most people on our tours are between 18 to 45 years of age and International travellers. If you are young at heart & reasonably fit you will fit right in.

| All our Toyota Coaster buses are air-conditioned & carry a maximum of 21 people.

| Ayers Rock is approximately 470 kilometres from Alice Springs. This is an average bus journey of 5 1/2 hours.
