The 9 day Croc to Rock package from Darwin to Ayers Rock (Uluru) includes a 3 days / 2 night camping tour to Kakadu. Plus a 1 day tour to Litchfield and the Jumping Croc Cruise. You then catch a Greyhound bus from Darwin to Alice Springs, followed by The Rock Tour (3 days / 2 nights) camping tour.
NOTE: Kakadu tours do NOT run in December!

9 Day Croc to Rock - Darwin to Ayers Rock (Uluru)

The 3 days / 2 nights Kakadu Tour Departs on a Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from April until October.
The Litchfield Day tour departs DAILY from April until October.

Day 1 - We start our Kakadu tour by heading straight for a wildlife cruise with crocodiles and bird watching. Fantastic photo opportunities.
Then we commence the drive toward Kakadu National Park.
A picnic lunch on the East Alligator rivers bank (not too close!) with the opportunity to spot some crocs and flying foxes.
Then on to the world famous Ubirr Rock in the north of the park. Ancient rock art and staggering 360º views over the Nardab floodplain.
Dinner and camping under the stars in the heart of Kakadu at our safari camp. Toilets and Showers at Garnamarr. (L,D)
Day 2 - After breakfast we do some 4 Wheel driving to Twin Falls. From here we take the escarpment walk to the top of the falls for a swim in the crystal clear pools away from the crowds.
Then we’ll find a shady spot by Jim Jim Creek for some lunch.
A short climb up Budjimi Lookout will reward you with spectacular views of the ancient Arnhemland escarpment.
After lunch, a 1km walk through monsoonal vine forest to the base of Jim Jim Falls for a relaxing afternoon swimming in the plunge pool and resting on the beach. Tonight we camp at Garnamarr, at the base of the escarpment. Tonight we replenish ourselves with the Great Aussie BBQ including a taste plate of Crocodile, Buffalo and Kangaroo. Showers and toilets available. (B,L,D)
Day 3 - An early start as we head to the Warradjan Cultural Centre to learn more about the local Aboriginal people of Kakadu.
We then make our way to Barramundi Gorge (Maguk) for a 1km walk through towering paperbarks and crystal clear waters for a refreshing swim in the plunge pool.
Heading home after a fantastic tour along the old Jim Jim road stopping of at White Lily billabong for our last look at Kakadu and a stretch of the legs.We return to Darwin approximately 5.30pm ending our Kakadu tour. (B,L) stay 1 night at the YHA Darwin Hostel in a 6 share dorm
Day 4 - 1 day Litchfield Tour (L)
7.00am Pick Up from your accommodation in Darwin and get ready for a full day out with a Jumping Crocodile Cruise on the Adelaide River, bushwalking, swimming in fresh water - spring fed waterholes. Enjoy tropical woodlands teaming with wildlife, birdlife, bush tucker, magnetic termite mounds and much more.
You will get to visit WANGI FALLS, FLORENCE FALLS, TERMITE MOUNDS, BULEY ROCK HOLE.
Return to Darwin at 5:00pm and stay 1 night at the YHA Darwin Hostel in a 6 share dorm.
Day 5 & 6 - Greyhound bus from Darwin to Alice Springs
Depart from Darwin Bus Station at 11.40am and arrive in Alice Springs the next day at 9.15am. The Greyhound Bus Station in Alice Springs is next door to The Rock Tour Office.
When you arrive in Alice Springs you can enjoy the day checking out the local attractions. Enjoy 1 nights accommodation at the Alice Springs YHA (6 share dorm) which is located a 3 minute walk from the Alice Springs Greyhound Station.
Day 7: Kings Canyon (L, D)
You will be picked up from your Alice Springs accommodation at 5:30am, first destination Kings Canyon. Enjoy a 3 hour hike through the sandstone domes of the Lost City. Visit the Amphitheatre, North & South Walls and the Garden of Eden. Next stop, Curtin Springs where we set up our bush camp. Your guide will prepare a healthy camp-oven dinner. Relax around the fire then curl up in your cozy swag under a million stars.
Day 8: Kata Tjuta & Uluru Sunset (B, L, D)
Feel the spiritual significance of the Valley of the Winds at Kata Tjuta. Your Guide will show you some bush tucker along the hike before heading to the Aboriginal Cultural Centre where you can listen to tales from theDreamtime. You will then go on a guided Mala Walk and spend the evening enjoying dinner at the spectacularSunset over Uluru. Witness the awesome sight of Uluru changing colour as the sun sets. We spend this night at the Ayers Rock Campground with toilets and showers.
Day 9: Uluru Sunrise (B,L)
Take in a memorable Uluru Sunrise over the World’s Largest Rock. You then have time to complete the Uluru Base Walk. Take in the spiritual significance of Kantju Gorge, Mutijulu Waterhole and Aboriginal Cave Paintings. You will arrive back in Alice Springs at approximately 5:00pm. Back to civilisation, get cleaned up and meet your Guide for dinner and a couple of beers at The Rock Bar at 7:00pm.
We supply: All meals as stated (Breakfast = B, Lunch = L, Dinner = D), transport, air conditioned comfortable 9 seat 4WD vehicle for Kakadu tour and a 21 seat buses, fun and experienced tour guide, swags and camping equipment.
Extra Information: Kakadu Park Fee is $40 for Adults and $25 for Children under 16 years old. The Uluru Park Fee is $25 for Adults and $12.50 for Children under 16 years old.
Kakadu 3 day - sleeping bags can be hired for $10 per person (local payment)
The Rock Tour 3 day - We have summer sleeping bags (November - April) and winter sleeping bags (May - October) warm and cosy -10 degree rated. You can hire a Sleeping bag for $20 per person.

Cancellation Policy: The Rock Tour reserves the right to amend itineraries, change carriers & apply surcharges without notice. It is strongly recommended that you have your own personal travel insurance. Cancellation fees are charged at 100% within 24 hours from departure, 50% if between 24-48 hours and 25% at all other times. We accept no responsibility for any injury, illness or other such accident sustained while on tour. We accept no liability for lost or stolen property. There will be no refunds in case of mechanical breakdown or weather conditions and we cannot guarantee pick up & drop off times.
